We came out a little lethargic in first half but were able to strike first. After a couple missed opportunities, it was the Jen Dimos, Mel Snider duo that again put us up 1-0 20 minutes into the game. After a terrific hold defensively, Jen collected the ball, played it to Snider just over the half way line on the right side, Mel played a quick one-two with Dimos and was off to goal. Snider beat the Lutheran sweeper and hit a great one touch shot into the left corner of goal!
The goal woke Lutheran up and they began to pressure . Ten minutes later the
visitors evened the score. The defense was caught off guard and a good 1v1 play was finished by the forward, making the score 1-1 at half.
We came our focused in the second half and 10 minutes in we pressured high and Tayler Fitts found Snider in the box for beautiful finish, making the score 2-1
Braves. We dominated most of the second half but GK Amanda Pont made two great saves to boost our confidence. Dimos finished the game in 64th from twenty yards out with an upper corner shot, resulting in a 3-1 victory for Brebeuf. The defensive unit of Moorman, Burton, Dill, Sheehan, Gorman, Gault and Robinson continue to impress.
