We started the game off very well and were able to set the tone while possessing the ball. It was only seven minutes into the game when we found the net to take the lead 1-0. The goal started with a long ball played into Amanda Repass who then dropped it to Elise DeTrude. Elise then dribbled down the middle from midfield and played a ball through to Kayla Delaney who finished the build-up very well. We then became a little too relaxed and began playing a bit sloppy and not taking care of the ball. Pike then stepped up the intenstiy and started to want it more. Seven minutes into the 2nd half, Elise DeTrude put away our second goal from 30 yards out on a bending ball over the goalkeeper. With the visitors still outworking us, Pike finished off a set piece to close the gap to 2-1. We were able to fight off the late attacks by Pike to earn a 2-1 victory.
