Evansville Harrison

Varsity

After a long drive, the girls were excited to get out and play finally. As we did not know much about Evansville Harrison, it was very important for us to come out strong from the start and play our game.  We did a very good job of keeping the ball for a majority of this game, but it was tough to find the back of the net.  Although we recorded 11 shots during the 1st half, nothing was on the scoreboard to show for it.  It was 9 minutes into the second half when we finally were able to get a goal.  Elise DeTrude played a great ball across to Maddie Malatestinic who put it back in front of the goal where Amanda Repass came running through and finished for a 1-0 lead.  Although Harrison pressed late, the lone goal was enough to get the win.  This was a good game for us possession wise, but the goal scoring opportunities will need to be capitalized as we move on over the next few weeks.
