Question:  Where should parents deliver pregame snacks and drinks?

Answer:  Snacks should be dropped off just inside the doors at the gym entrance.  Be sure and label “Girls Soccer” so they don’t accidentally end up with another team.  Please ask your daughter to put their cooler in their car before we leave for the game.

Question:  What colors do the girls wear for Home and Away games?

Answer:  They should wear white uniforms for home games and maroon uniforms for away games.  But, you always bring both!

Question:  What do I do if my daughter is sick or has to miss practice for any reason?  If she has to miss school, can she still play in a game that night?

Answer:  Email or text the appropriate head coach if your daughter has to miss practice for any reason.   If they miss a full day of school, they will not be allowed to play “UNLESS” it is an excused absence by the school.

Question:  When do I need a doctor’s note?

Answer:  Whenever you see a Doctor and your participation is limited, the Coach would like to have a doctor’s note.  You should also give a copy to the trainer.

Question:  Does my daughter have to ride the bus to and from away games?

Answer:   Normally yes.  Exceptions should be cleared with the Head Coach ahead of time.

Question:  Are all team events mandatory?

Answer:  All team events are treated like practice.  If you can’t make it, your Coach needs to know why and consequences may follow.

Question:  How do I best communicate with my daughter’s coach?

Answer:   Your daughter should always be the first line of communication with her coach.  If there are still unresolved issues, you can contact her coach to discuss those issues at an appropriate time and place.

Question:  How do Athletic Awards work?

Answer:     First year varsity: Letter and soccer pin.  Subsequent years varsity: bar each additional year.  JV Players: Certificate of Participation.  All Freshmen: receive their grad year numbers.

Letter jackets can be ordered through the Brebeuf bookstore (there are various options), who will then attach the letter and grad year numbers to the jacket.
