The Braves came out hard fighting for a victory in the 100 degree weather. We went down early one to zero from a goal off a corner kick. The Braves answered back by getting forward and getting three great opportunities. On the third, Alexa Isbell was able to get into the box on a break away where she was fouled giving our team a penalty kick. Captain Betsy Bennet stepped up to finish the pk evening the score at ones.
As the half wore on so did the heat and the Braves struggled to keep Noblesville at bay. Communication and effort break down was key in this defeat against Noblesville. With the final score being 5-1, the Braves will walk away looking forward knowing we can only go up from here.
Kate Hahn and Zoe Stein played excellent in goal for us demonstrating great team leadership. Special notables to the game would be our defense who never backed down even after 5 goals, giving their effort until the very end of the game.
