Finally…….We get to play against another team to give us an idea on where we stand.  You couldn’t ask for a better start as Amanda found the net within the first 2 minutes. Shelby Kroeger won the ball deep in NC’s area and had a shot on target which the opposing keeper could not handle and Amanda Repass made her pay for it. Scoring quickly gave us confidence and allowed us to settle down quickly. From that point on, it was a fairly even game. Although we kept a bit more possession, both teams created scoring opportunities but failed to find the net. Halle did her job in keeping the ball out of the net and recording 5 saves on the night. The opposing goalkeeper did well to keep NC in the game including an excellent save off a shot from Kayla Delaney. The defensive line played very well together in the back and was comfortable on the ball which allowed us to out possess NC. Everyone was able to play quality minutes on this night and get a feel of how we plan to play each and every night.
